Containment Systems
Cool Shield manufacturers hot & cold aisle containment systems for data centers, cleanrooms & critical spaces.
State of the art solutions to maximize data center efficiency
Versatile Aisle Containment Solutions for Both New and Existing Data Centers.
Cool Shield provides customers with versatile, turnkey aisle containment systems for new or existing critical spaces. Our offerings range from a single row in a server room to entire data center facilities. This includes self-supported systems for both hot and cold aisle containment. We also offer professional installation, construction project management and retrofit design. Our team of experts are ready to design a custom containment solution that fits both your facility, and your budget.
What is aisle containment?
Aisle containment is a cooling system that completely separates the cold supply airflow from the hot equipment exhaust air. This ultimately creates an even and consistent supply temperature to the intake of data center equipment and electronics, while the returning air is warmer and drier when it reaches the AC coil. There can be either hot or cold containment implemented, depending on your particular facility’s layout.
Hot Aisle Containment
Cool Shield hot aisle containment systems (HAC) channel the heat from the server exhaust directly back to the returns on the cooling units.Â
VS
Cold Aisle Containment
Cold aisle containment (CAC) isolates the cooled supply air from the CRAC units within direct proximity of the air intake of critical equipment.
Aisle containment components
Proper aisle containment creates a physical barrier that separates the hot and cold air from mixing. Containment panels or strips create a partition to isolate either the server supply air (cold aisle) or the exhaust air (hot aisle). Preventing the supply and exhaust air from mixing significantly increases the capacity and cooling efficiency of the cooling infrastructure.
