Cool Shield aisle containment panels provide a near complete seal to prevent the mixing of supply and exhaust air. They also offer a very clean and impressive aesthetic, especially when used with clear panels. A variety of options are all supported by the versatile Cool Shield channel. The channel can be used to fully frame the channel or it can be used to hang the aisle containment panels for a more seamless look. In either case, a multitude of brackets, gaskets and mounting hardware allow for adapting to nearly any aisle size, obstructions or site conditions.
Whether your facility is implementing a cold aisle or a hot aisle, containment panels are available to meet a wide range of budget and fire rating requirements. Light weight, clear twin-wall options are very cost effective and are ASTM E84 Class A rated to exceed NFPA 75 guidelines. Solid polycarbonate (UL94) and FM Global rated panels are crystal clear to allow high visibility to cables, pipes and other equipment. Metal options are available, which can be powder coated nearly any color can also be used.

Containment Panel Walls
Clear wall panels, full or partial walls, to isolate the cold or hot aisle by filling gaps between or above enclosures. The Cool Shield Containment Panel Walls solution provides the most flexible yet robust design to complete the containment of any aisle. In most data centers, server cabinet rows are not perfectly aligned. The two rows which create the aisle to be contained may have different lengths, heights, gaps or another challenge to full containment. Some aisles may also have only one row of cabinets. Our Containment Panel Walls complete the containment to allow optimum control over air bypass to allow maximum cooling efficiency.

Sliding Vertical Panels
Overlapping solid panels with thermal release for top panel to slide down to allow for fire suppression discharge. The Cool Shield Sliding Vertical Panels is designed to provide the exceptional sealing capabilities and high aesthetics of a solid panel solution with a thermal release feature. Two overlapping panels are framed by the Cool Shield Channel and share a common slide rail on each side. The bottom panel rests at the bottom of the frame and the top panel is held at the top by a thermal release. Upon release, gravity will cause the top panel to slide down the channel leaving the top half of the containment area open for a fire suppression discharge.

Fixed Vertical Panels
Solid fixed vertical partitions to seal airflow in the hot aisle or cold aisle of a data center. Cool Shield aisle containment fixed vertical panels are a very attractive and efficient method for managing the airflow in hot aisle or cold aisle containment applications. Our proprietary Cool Shield channel is designed to tightly frame the panels for a very effective seal. Panel options (and fire ratings) for our channel include twin-wall polycarbonate (E84 Class 1), solid polycarbonate (UL94), CPVC (FM Global) and metal.
