The robust and versatile solution is capable of much more than containing airflow to seriously reduce the cooling requirements of your data center or server room. The heavy-duty self-supported structure features several mounting options for integrating numerous infrastructure items including cable trays, power busways, vesda piping, lighting and much more. This functionality eliminates the need to build out and expensive support grid system or ceiling system above your server cabinets.
Integrated strut profile allows attachment of horizontal support arms for cable trays and busbars which can support up to 50lbs per linear foot without meaningful deflection.
A key differentiating feature of the Cool Shield structure is the integrated mounting capabilities. Each side of the robust 4” square post features multiple threaded channels which accept standard 3/8-16 bolts. This allows easy attachment of numerous brackets to create an unlimited number of configurations. They also allow for simple mounting of lighting, piping, threaded rod or nearly anything else. One side of the post also features a standard strut profile to accept spring nuts and other strut hardware to create heavy-duty support arms for cable trays and busbars.
The versatile 4” x 4” post profile is designed to accommodate either fixed or sliding panels. Typical fixed panel installation will utilize 8mm twin wall polycarbonate. Overlapping sliding panels in either 4mm, 8mm or 10mm thickness can be configured for sites that require access to busbars and cable trays.
