The Cool Shield FloorGuard Cable Seal is a low-cost yet highly effective approach to sealing cable cut-outs and other openings in raised floors. Cable cut-outs in raised floor are almost always in areas where it is unproductive to provide cooling. The process of sealing these holes can prevent wasting thousands of dollars in energy costs. Consider a typical 55,000 square foot data center with 80 unsealed cable openings. The air loss from those openings is equivalent to the capacity of a 50-ton cooling unit.

FloorGuard Cable Seal is highly fire resistant, durable and easy to install. It can be easily cut to cover nearly any size opening. Simple cuts in the material allow for new or existing cable pass-through. The rubberized material molds around the penetrating cables to form a seal around to prevent air leakage.

The non-slip rubberized vinyl foam is nearly impossible to tear but can be easily cut with a utility knife to prevent air loss around nearly any number of cables. The foam is mechanically bonded to a polymeric film barrier. The film acts as a barrier, preventing plasticizer migration from interfering with the adhesive and helping it to maintain a long-term bond to many types of substrates. They are available in several sizes and can also be custom sized to fill larger gaps.
