The Cool Shield FloorGuard Cable Seal is a low-cost yet highly effective approach to sealing cable cut-outs and other openings in raised floors, where it is not able to provide adequate cooling. The process of sealing these holes can prevent wasting thousands of dollars in energy costs. Consider a typical 55,000 square foot data center with 80 unsealed cable openings. The air loss from those openings is equivalent to the capacity of a 50-ton cooling unit.

The FloorGuard Cable Seal is highly fire-resistant, durable and easy to install. It can be easily cut to fit almost any size opening and can allow for new or existing cable to pass through. The rubberized material molds around the penetrating cables to form a seal which is to prevent air leakage.

The non-slip rubberized vinyl foam is nearly impossible to tear but can be cut with a utility knife to be fitted around nearly any number of cables. The foam is mechanically bonded to a polymeric film, which acts as a barrier, preventing plasticizer migration from interfering with the adhesive and helping it to maintain a long-term bond to many types of substrates. They are available in several sizes and can also be custom-sized to fill larger gaps.
